The tournament broke national records for the B.A.S.S. college series, including a new record for the heaviest team weight for a two-day tournament with 54 pounds, 12 ounces. A national collegiate record also was set for a single day when a team brought in 32 pounds, 7 ounces on Saturday, which also broke the old national record of 29 pounds, 4 ounces. The overall average weight per fish was an impressive 4 pounds."
