NewsSun.com: "How important is color to fish?

If there's one thing that most fishermen cannot agree on, it's the right color of the plastic baits they use to catch bass.

Day in and day out I watch as customers search through the hundreds of plastic baits lining our shelves looking for that special color that they believe the fish will strike."

Hair Jigs for Cold Lake of the Ozarks Bass

Hair Jigs for Cold Lake of the Ozarks Bass: "During those halcyon days of bass fishing in the 1960s, the bucktail jig and pork split tail eel was one of the deadliest combos for Lake of the Ozarks bass.

Now the bucktail and other animal hair jigs have been replaced by flipping, casting and finesse jigs adorned with silicone or living rubber skirts and various soft plastic chunks, craws and grubs serve as substitutes for the pork eel. Despite being replaced for most bass fishing applications, the venerable hair jig still shines in cold-water situations for FLW star Guido Hibdon on his home lake."

The TriKayak XS-1 features adjustable outriggers

The TriKayak XS-1 features adjustable outriggers: "Kayaking is a fast, easy and fun way of paddling across the water. That said, some people worry that the perceived tippiness of the boats makes it too easy a way of ending up in the water, too. That's why you sometimes see kayaks with stabilizing outriggers ... although those outriggers can get in the way. The TriKayak XS-1 is designed to offer the stability, without the hassle."
