Marine Reels In Great White Shark from Shore | OutdoorHub

Marine Reels In Great White Shark from Shore | OutdoorHub: "While many shark species have been reeled in by enthusiastic anglers from shore, very rarely—if ever—has video been taken of a great white shark captured in this manner. According to the New York Daily News, Marine Gunnery Master Sergeant Jeff Fangman emerged victorious after a 25-minute battle with a great white earlier this year, pulling the large predator near land. The incredible catch happened in late October off the coasts of Marine Base Camp Pendleton in California."

Spinnerbait Basics | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC

Spinnerbait Basics | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC: "Probably the most universal artificial bait used by both tournament anglers and the weekend fisherman is the spinnerbait. You can flip it like a jig into heavy cover or work it along laydowns and in treetops like a Texas-rigged worm. It can be waked across the top of the water like a buzzbait or run it one to three feet deep like a Rat-L-Trap. You can let it fall down deeper like a medium- to deep-diving crankbait or slow roll it across the bottom. This is just about the most versatile lure you can carry in your boat."

Winter Jig Fishing | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC: "It's time to slow down our presentation as the water cools and look to the jig or a Texas-rigged worm or craw on those really cold days. Bass will move deeper as the water cools to establish their winter base of operation. The deeper coves with a defined creek channel, longer points that drop off into secondary or primary creek channels, or a shoreline where the bottom has a fast drop off, causing a stair step effect are the best places to start exploring for action. The other primary factor that needs to be in all of these spots is wood. Bass tend to prefer wood in the colder months"

Tips to stay warm during winter fishing trips - Louisiana Sportsman

Tips to stay warm during winter fishing trips - Louisiana Sportsman: "The average winter temperature range in the bayou state is 64 to 41 degrees during December and 61 to 41 degrees in January.

However, Louisiana does have its share of winter fronts that drive temperatures below freezing and allow daytime highs to hover only in the 30 and 40s.

So the wind chills can be brutal when fishing early morning hours and running in boats even at moderate speeds."
