Video: Release Denied, Eagle Swoops Up Angler's Catch | OutdoorHub: "A father-and-son fishing trip took an unexpected turn when their catch of the day was swept up by an eagle. It is not entirely uncommon for eagles to take released fish or even ones still on the line. Sharp eyesight and keen predatory instincts combine for a potent mix, and these animals certainly don’t mind skipping all the legwork. Still, the sight of one of these majestic creatures in action might just make up for it. Well, maybe not from the fish’s perspective."

Take Advantage of Fall Migrations and Catch More Walleyes | OutdoorHub: "The most important factor in any walleye presentation isn’t the lure, technique, trolling speed, or line size. All those things can be as important as the color of your boat. Michigan DNR Prepares to Fight Asian Carp | OutdoorHub
Michigan DNR Prepares to Fight Asian Carp | OutdoorHub: "Sometimes preparation is more than half the battle. The exercise was meant to give the DNR agents further experience with how to survey and catch Asian carp, which do not yet exist in the Great Lakes. The Michigan DNR is not the only agency worried by the possibility of the invasive fish finding their way into the Great Lakes—the region provides upwards of $5 billion to neighboring states through commercial and sport fishing."

Going "All In" in Deadwood | OutdoorHub
Going "All In" in Deadwood | OutdoorHub: "It’s a safe bet that Wild Bill Hickok would have been better off holding a fly rod on the bank of one of the streams around Deadwood, South Dakota, than he was sitting in a saloon holding two pairs of aces and eights, the dead man’s hand.
Deadwood still offers plenty of gambling opportunity, but the town also deals out plenty of chances to anglers for a full house of trout, walleye, perch, smallmouth bass, and other fish."
