Leech Lake walleye fishing bite remains strong - News - The Pilot Independent: "Midge flies, lots of rain and up and down water temperatures slowed down the walleye bite but it still remains strong on Leech Lake.
Between the pesky midge flies and rainstorms, anglers had to make many adjustments to maintain an active walleye bite. The weather has been a huge factor, one day stormy and very windy, and the next day beautiful with very little wind."
