Crankbaits for Walleyes: "Walleye fishing methods have changed dramatically since anglers discovered the flexibility of crankbaits. Twenty years ago, an angler would never think of trolling a minnow-imitating lure for early season walleye. Angling lore said that was almost crazy. Also, the thought of going out over very deep water, tying a plastic-lipped minnow imitator onto the line and adding two ounces of lead would have never crossed the mind. That same line would never be tied to a board that was designed to pull away from boat when trolling at a rapid speed."
