Smallmouth bass tend to be finicky, more so than largemouth, and a lot of factors come into play, such as; whether, current, wind and even the moon. If you find yourself locating deep fish, upwards of 40 – 50ft, have figured out how they are relating to the structure; whether it be on breaks, on or beside rock piles or small isolated patches of grass you will be limited to a few techniques to catch them."
