Budget Bass Fishing | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC

Budget Bass Fishing | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC: "We've all been there. Fishing on a budget is hard if you don't know how to shop wisely. I can tell you how to get basic fishing equipment that you need to catch bass consistently for around 100 bucks.
Rod and reel
A basic spinning rod and reel combo can go for 30-40 dollars. It sounds cheap but if you're on a budget, it's what you can afford. Sometimes the inexpensive combos can be just as good as a 100-dollar rod and reel, you just got to shop wise. Don't buy something that's going to break when you first cast it, but rather go for what I like to call, "Cheap but functional equipment" go for inexpensive quality Combos."

It's a World Record Bass! | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC

It's a World Record Bass! | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC: "While browsing the Internet fishing message boards as I frequently do late at night, I came across an interesting post. An angler wanted to know if in the event a largemouth bass was caught in California that exceeded the weight of George Perry's record fish, should it be considered a world record? Sounds like there should be an obvious answer, but the guy had a valid point. The fish in California are distant relatives of the original group of Florida strain largemouth bass that were placed in a small reservoir to reproduce offspring with a trophy class bloodline. These fish were then, for the most part, handfed trout their entire lives. Growing at nearly double the rate of a bass in Florida, these bass get big in a hurry."

Lake Erie's Trophy Walleye Ice Bite | OutdoorHub

Lake Erie's Trophy Walleye Ice Bite | OutdoorHub: "Walleye anglers willing to brave the harshest conditions of the season may find fishing action at its best. Or so it seemed atop the Walleye Capital of the World, where license plates in waterfront parking lots proved anglers from all over the Great Lakes have converged on the Western Basin of Lake Erie to catch huge walleyes. Such diversity in geographic draw isn’t unusual to see during the open water season on the southernmost Great Lake, which is known for giving up giant ‘eyes. Lake Erie’s ice bite, however, has been MIA for nearly a decade. Not for lack of big walleyes, but for lack of ice."

Kayak Fishing with Kids: "Have you ever cancelled a kayak fishing adventure because you did not have someone to watch the kiddos? That was rarely a problem for us. You see, we use to live in Charleston, SC where my husband, Stan, and I had both sets of grandparents at our beck and call. A quick phone call asking to watch our daughter Hannah, now 5, and our son Tide, now 3, and we were golden!"
