KLTV

KLTV: "Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) says that Lake Palestine produced its second Toyota ShareLunker in less than a year Saturday when Casey Laughlin of Rowlett pulled in a 13.22-pound bass while fishing a Media Bass tournament.

In a press release, TPWD said initially weighed at 13.02 pounds by tournament officials, the fish came in at 13.22 pounds when reweighed on the official ShareLunker program certified scale. The difference was significant, since it made the fish eligible to be submitted as the new record for Lake Palestine. The fish was 26.25 inches long and 20.75 inches in girth. It is now Toyota ShareLunker 554."

The TriKayak XS-1 features adjustable outriggers

The TriKayak XS-1 features adjustable outriggers: "Kayaking is a fast, easy and fun way of paddling across the water. That said, some people worry that the perceived tippiness of the boats makes it too easy a way of ending up in the water, too. That's why you sometimes see kayaks with stabilizing outriggers ... although those outriggers can get in the way. The TriKayak XS-1 is designed to offer the stability, without the hassle."

Discovering Hidden Ice Fishing Hot Spots — www.outdoorhub.com: "Right now, there’s a hidden hot spot in your favorite lake, and most years it never gets touched. “There’s this lake I’ve fished my whole life,” says legendary ice angler and guide, Brian “Bro” Brosdahl. “Thought I knew it pretty well. Then several years ago, I ran the entire basin in a boat armed with Side Imaging. What an eye-opener. Discovered a sweet spot that had likely been untapped for decades, maybe longer. How to fish spinnerbaits

How to fish spinnerbaits: "There is a lot of debate as to what is the best overall artificial bait. Much of the debate depends on the type of fish you're fishing, some is based on where you’re catching, some is based on weather conditions, and some is based on the cover you’re fishing. Most of the arguments that fishermen have are valid arguments for all the main baits, Crankbaits, jigs, spinnerbaits or plastic worms if your talking about fishing for bass only. With all the varied opinions, no one would disagree that the spinnerbait is one of the top lures, and overall I feel is the best for all types of fish."
