Resolutions for Better Fishing | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC

Resolutions for Better Fishing | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC: "Just like doctors and engineers stay abreast of the latest technology and innovations or get left behind, anglers who ignore the latest fishing trends and information are likely to get outfished by their partners. Although fishing is not a vocation for most, who wouldn't have more fun by catching more and bigger fish next year? With the goal of more big fish and a good time on the water, here are a few ideas for the coming year."

New Year's Resolution | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC

New Year's Resolution | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC: "I guess it's that time of the year again, the holidays. If you're like me, all of the effort put forth to impress everyone with "just the perfect gift" really leaves you feeling run down. This is the time to turn our attention to things that make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. With New Year upon us, we look forward to the start of the tournament season, where we will butt our competitive heads with our buddies."

Reflections On The Last Casts of 2013 | Field & Stream

Reflections On The Last Casts of 2013 | Field & Stream: "Every year I take the week between Christmas and New Year's off, mostly to hang with family, but also to get my last licks on my local waters with friends before our fishing licenses expire. Just yesterday I made my final cast of 2013, throwing flies at pickerel with some pals. A few days ago I stuck some nice trout during a frosty morning with friend and guide Nick Raftas, and the weekend before Santa came down the chimney, it was pike on the fly with my friend Joe Demalderis. Considering it's winter, it was a pretty good last hurrah. But you can't help think about the season as a whole this time of year, and I must admit, I've had better."

Are you in Fish Fighting Shape? | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC

Are you in Fish Fighting Shape? | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC: "Contrary to the opinions that most people have, fishing is very much a sport that can brutalize the body. Everything from extremely rough boat rides to crazy weather conditions to poor eating habits can have a significantly negative impact on your overall performance.  Unlike other sports where their elite athletes can bench press 500 pounds and have just 3% body fat, the upper echelon of Bass fishing doesn’t have many anglers that fit that profile. That doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t perform better if they were more physically fit.
I personally feel so much better when I am in shape"

Walleye Fishing Tactics And Best Walleye Lures | Walleye Fishing Tips With Walleye Joe

Walleye Fishing Tactics And Best Walleye Lures | Walleye Fishing Tips With Walleye Joe: "Frank wus askin’ about walleye fishing tactics and best walleye lures. My old buddy at the bait and tackle shop told us that he had the best, eh?, so we decided to take his advice, bought ourselves some bait and Frank jotted down his tactics to boot."

Spinnerbaits, Topwater Baits, & Crankbaits | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC

Spinnerbaits, Topwater Baits, & Crankbaits | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC: "Serious and even not so serious, bass anglers should never leave home without an assortment of spinnerbaits, topwaters and lipless crankbaits, why?
Because they are Efficient, Always, Successful, Year-round Baits
If you were to look in a professional angler's boat during practice before a big tournament, chances are you would see spinnerbaits, lipless crankbaits and topwater baits tied on to at least three rods, and they would either be on the deck or within easy reach in the rod box. The main reason for having these baits tied on at all times is that these are fish finding and fish catching baits that always work.

Building A Better Brush Pile | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC

Building A Better Brush Pile | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC: "If you really want to get serious about setting out brush piles prepare yourself for some hard work, but it can pay off big later. Bass will use brush piles throughout the year but the heat of summer and winter are the prime times to fill your livewell with brush pile bass, or turn that 14 pound limit into a 20 pound sack with a big brush pile kicker.
I want my pile to be about the size of my boat. It's large enough to hold multiple fish but I can fish it in 15 minutes or so."
