Summer Bass with a Drop Shot: "  A favorite technique for many summer anglers is drop-shotting.  When the water is warm and the fishing is slow drop-shotting can be a lethal strategy for the tournament angler or just a lot of fun for the recreational angler. It is a great technique to use when introducing fishing to children.  Drop-shotting is simply a weight below a small soft-plastic lure so that the bait suspends just off bottom in the summertime strike zone. The technique is very versatile in catching bass in shallow water as well as deep water.
